Darling Harbour

brief history ...

Before 1788 Darling Harbour area was occupied by the Cadigal Aboriginal people (Eora Nation).

After the white settlement started in 1788 Darling Harbour started gradually to be used as a port, presenting the advantage of being close to the City. The port started to decline towards the middle of the XX-th century as the railway started to develop.
