brief history ...

In 1984 Darling Harbour Authority launched an appeal for proposals of a system to transport the tourists and the Sydneysiders in and out of Darling Harbour area.

In 1985 from the proposals put forward the NSW Government chooses the Monorail solution, and by August 1988, the Monorail system was opened to the public.
